About

Prof. Zhang has over 20 years of experience in machine learning, artificial intelligence, robotics, prognostics and health management, intelligent systems and control. Particularly, he has developed and applied many machine learning and deep learning techniques with applications to monitoring, control, and intelligence to power grid, lithium-ion batteries, aircraft, helicopters, manned and unmanned vehicles. He also developed applications based on Bayesian approaches, such as extended Kalman filter, particle filtering, sensor fusion, and risk evaluation. He has published more than 200 papers in his areas of expertise. He is/was editors for many prestigious journals of control, automation, neurocomputing and member of steering committee of many international conferences.
