Dr. Goharian was named SC Young Civil Engineer of the Year by ASCE South Carolina section for his demonstration of most outstanding contribution to the profession of Civil Engineering in South Carolina. He won this award for his contributions towards developing GIS web applications, AI emergency planning tools, and his contributions towards South Carolina floodwater commission.
