Our one of a kind Mikrosam Libra Automated Fiber Placement (AFP) system was developed with advance manufacturing and adaptability in mind. The system based on a Kuka Titan L750 on a 35ft linear rail with the most recent controls systems. This integrate robotic system comes with a Mikrosam AFP head allowing for deposition on x8 ¼” tows, which can be heated using laser or IR heating units. We can accommodate tools for flat plates, complex curves, and cylindrical sections up to 6ft Diameter and 14ft in length.

Note: This system is compatible with any Kuka compatible end-effector, so projects are not limited to AFP, but can also include welding, inspection, as well as mixed supplier AFP/end-effector heads which makes this system the only one of its kind and an integral part of the McNAIR Centers versatile equipment offerings.
