Dr. Wang’s research focuses on computational and data-enabled science and engineering, with applications across multiphysics and multiscale systems such as fluid–structure interaction, micro- and nanofluidics, thermal and energy systems, and additive manufacturing. His work integrates physics-based modeling with data-driven methods to enable real-time simulation, system optimization, and intelligent process control. Key areas include adaptive and reduced-order modeling, multi-fidelity surrogate modeling, large-scale data analytics and machine learning, and systems engineering of micro- and nanofluidic platforms. His long-term research goal is to advance engineering intelligence through the seamless integration of modeling, data, and experimentation.
