Tyler Overbay graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2025 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and currently works as a Materials Research Engineer at Boeing. In his role, Tyler supports research and development efforts focused on advancing materials and engineering solutions within the aerospace industry. During his time at USC, Tyler benefited from hands-on, industry-connected opportunities, including USC hosting the Boeing Accelerated Leadership Program, which helped prepare him for a career at Boeing. He encourages current USC students to prioritize hands-on learning experiences both in the classroom and through internships or extracurricular involvement, and to actively build their professional networks, as these experiences are critical for career growth and long-term success.
