The Integrated Multiphysics & Systems Engineering Laboratory (iMSEL), led by Prof. Yi Wang in the University of South Carolina’s Department of Mechanical Engineering, advances computational and data-enabled science and engineering for complex multiphysics and multiscale systems.

Our research spans fluid–structure interaction, microfluidics and nanofluidics, additive manufacturing, energy management, and data-driven modeling. We develop rigorous, practical methods that enable faster, more reliable, and more cost-effective engineering decisions.
