Bio

Equipped with a Ph.D. in Solid State Chemistry from the University of Houston, Azadeh initially delved into synthesizing multi-core coordination compounds and investigating magnetic correlations. During her first postdoc, she transitioned to public and environmental health sciences, contributing to projects involving the synthesis of nano nutrients for citrus greening and oil remediation. Joining SAGE in 2023, she now leads the characterization efforts for catalysts in a Department of Energy-funded project, focusing on the design of novel catalysts for clean hydrogen generation from liquid organic hydrogen carriers (LOHC). Concurrently, she explores silver-based catalysts for ethylene epoxidation reactions, employing advanced techniques for characterization. Beyond her scientific pursuits, she seeks solace in nature and channels her love for creation and design both in and outside the laboratory, by decorating and designing. In her leisure time, she indulges in movies, books, and music, relishing the diverse narratives, melodies, and perspectives they offer.
