Bio

Kaveh was born and raised in Gachsaran, a small city in the southwest of Iran renowned for its oil and gas reservoirs. He earned his bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Shiraz University (Class of 2016) and completed his Master's degree in Chemical Engineering (Process Engineering) at the University of Tehran (Class of 2019), one of the most esteemed universities in Iran. In 2019, he joined SAGE to pursue his Ph.D. in Heterogeneous Catalysis.

Throughout his doctoral journey, Kaveh worked on various significant projects, including:

  1. Synthesis, characterization, and optimization of unpromoted and promoted silver catalysts with different shapes for ethylene oxide production.
  2. Synthesis, characterization, and modification of platinum-based catalysts for methylcyclohexane dehydrogenation, contributing to hydrogen generation (Funded by the Department of Energy, DOE).
  3. Synthesis and characterization of support shapes in ruthenium-based catalysts for ammonia synthesis and ammonia decomposition.

In addition to his academic pursuits, Kaveh enjoys playing sports such as soccer and volleyball. He also has a passion for playing the Tar, a traditional Persian musical instrument.
