Bio

Ricky is originally from Hyderabad, India. He earned his undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad, where he worked as an undergraduate research assistant in the ECM lab. During his PhD, he worked on computational modeling of peptides and proteins in Biomimetics lab at the University of South Carolina.

Currently, as a postdoctoral researcher in SAGE, Ricky is working on projects that leverage large language models (LLMs) to extract and analyze literature data on the thermocatalytic decomposition of methane. His research focuses on developing active learning-guided strategies to maximize methane conversion, with funding support from Savannah River National Laboratory.

Outside of research, Ricky enjoys following and playing sports, especially soccer, cricket, basketball, and badminton. He is also an avid music fan, with favorite bands including Linkin Park and Maroon 5.
