Tayrin Hurtado Salazar
Graduate Research Assistant
Tayrin began her Ph.D. studies in the fall of 2023. She holds a master's degree from Universidad del Norte and specializes in the dynamic analysis and design of structures. She has previously conducted research focused on evaluating the vulnerability in concrete reinforcement frame and wall-frame systems, employing numerical modeling and applying theoretical concepts of structural behavior. As a graduate research assistant at the University of South Carolina, she will be part of the project to revise the seismic design specification for highway bridges.
