Mary Ann Gardiner
I’m an Aerospace Engineering student at the University of South Carolina with a passion for design, robotics, and system integration. As an Engineering Intern, I’ve been able to work hands-on with technologies like Boston Dynamics’ Spot, Yaskawa robots, and various sensors and cameras to create automated systems. I spend a lot of time designing 3D models and custom parts, programming workflows with Mendix, Python, and Node-RED, and learning how different hardware and software components come together in real-time applications.
I love projects that challenge me to think creatively and technically, whether that means improving a design, solving an integration issue, or finding new ways to make systems more efficient. My goal is to continue building experience in aerospace and automation, where I can combine my interests in flight, robotics, and design to contribute to meaningful engineering solutions.
