Nathan Wardy

Nathan Wardy is a Junior majoring in Computer Engineering at the University of South Carolina. As a C4IS fellow in the Industrial IoT & Edge Integration track, Nathan is working on CAELUS, a self-operating drone system designed to manage its entire mission lifecycle without human input—from takeoff and task execution to automated docking and charging. His project focuses on autonomous systems, edge computing, and real-time integration to support efficient and reliable drone operations. Through this work, Nathan is gaining hands-on experience applying embedded systems and IoT concepts to advanced autonomous technologies.
