Dr. Crichigno presented the virtual platform / Cyberinfrastructure Lab @ USC (https://netlab.cec.sc.edu) during the annual South Carolina Cyber Security Conference. The conference is annually organized by the South Carolina Department of Administration and SC Cyber. As the central administrative agency for state government, the South Carolina Department of Administration provides services to enhance security and trust. The event was held at the Cooperative Conference Center, in Columbia, SC, on October 10, 2019. Dr. Crichigno presented the advances in cyber security and network tools to train IT professionals in topics such as Intrusion Detection Systems, Next-generation Firewalls, high-speed networks and network emulators, and others. He provided a demo of the virtual laboratories developed at the CI Lab @ USC. Since then, attendees have had access to training material. The event had an attendance of approximately 150 IT professionals. The presentation slides can be found online here [pdf].
